The unreliability of the MSN network has reached unprecedented heights. Most of the time I'm unable to connect more than one of my four MSN accounts. After years of messing around, they still don't get it right. ICQ on the other hand has been extremely dependable with only one or two short disconnects per year. Jabber is also a fine choice, currently I'm using Googles Jabber server, and although it occasionally has problems staying connected, it works most of the time.

So, if you need to reach me, forget about MSN.
